Godmanchester Town Council letter to residents January 2007

Dear Resident

A14 Ellington to Fen Ditton Further Public Consultation

Consultation is underway regarding proposed routes for the A14. Godmanchester Town Council would like to stress the importance of completing and returning the Highways Agency questionnaire (blue A4 booklet), which you should have received through the post before Christmas. Each individual resident is entitled to submit a response and if you would like a further copy please contact the Town Office.

At the same time we urge you to write to the Highways Agency and also send a copy to our MP (at the Stukeley Road address). The enclosed letter is a suggestion pre-written for you by the Town Council for your consideration.

Further copies are available from the Town Office. Once completed, letters can be delivered to the Town Office and will be forwarded to the Highways Agency and Jonathan Djanogly, MP and we ask that all replies are sent/delivered to the Town Office by 23rd February.

A website (www.a14.godmanchester.net) has been set up which will be updated regularly and we encourage you to take a look. If you would like to be involved in any way, please contact Councillor Graham Wilson on Tel 412747 or e-mail.

Whether you write your own letter, or use the enclosed form, it is important you make your voice heard. Others are actively campaigning to bring the new road closer to our town so VOTE FOR THE ORANGE ROUTE.

Thank you for your involvement.
